A class project, I was asked to redesign the United States currency. Taking inspiration from the vibrant colors of other currencies, such as New Zealand and Costa Rica, I decided to feature U.S. Animals and National Parks in a way that was dynamic and interesting.
Native to North America, Pumas are extremely adaptable to different regions. At one point, they were one of the most widespread mammals in the U.S. Now, their numbers continue to plummet rapidly. For this reason, I chose to feature the Puma and the beautiful Grand Canyon National Park on the ten dollar bill. Featured on the fifty dollar bill, is the Gray Wolf and Yellowstone National Park. In 1995, wolves were successfully reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park - a step forward in conservation and stabilization of the ecosystem.
UV light reveals the animals' unique tracks on the back of the bills. On the front, the number is displayed with a metallic sheen.
