As part of a class project, I developed a conceptual brand collaboration between luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz, and luxury home & body company, RITUALS . . . I was intrigued with the idea of combining Mercedes' mission of producing cutting-edge technology and design, with RITUALS' holistic approach, to conceptualize a collaboration that could elevate both brands and open up their audiences. By combining the luxurious, all-electric feel of the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ sedan with RITUALS' limited edition Ritual of Yozakura, guests will be inspired to enhance their travel experience under the night-time glow and aroma of cherry blossom trees.
For the conceptual pop-up collaboration, I designed three products that would be available. First, the Mercedes-Benz x RITUALS . . . fragrance atomiser, compatible with newer car models such as the S-class, select E-class, select G-class, CLS and Maybach which typically include built-in aromatherapy. The second-tier product would be an aluminum car diffuser vent clip, compatible with any car and not exclusive to Mercedes-Benz models. Third, a complimentary hanging freshener that each guest would receive to commemorate the collaboration event.
To promote the limited-time event and collaboration, I designed signage and an email invitation.
