ASU Creativity Commons

Identity

Working in a team of five other student designers, we conceptualized and developed collateral for the Digital Maker Studio within the Creativity Commons at ASU. Our clients wanted the space to inspire creativity and be an inclusive environment for students at ASU, while upholding ASU brand guidelines. Our team visited the space, gathered research on how students interacted with the environment, and brainstormed ways we could make it more engaging.

Adobe tool icons for ASU Creativity Commons.

Since the space focuses on Adobe technology, we decided to incorporate Adobe tools and connect them with the different zones: Tech Hub, Create, Game and Collaborate. To further distinguish each zone, we applied ASU's secondary color palette. Our client also wanted a new name for the Digital Maker Studio - to which we came up with the "Adobe Imagination Suite."

Banners to define the different zones within the "Adobe Imagination Suite" space.

Floor decals for ASU Creativity Commons.

Floor decals designed for each zone.

Desktop screen saver to be displayed on idle screens, featuring work made with Adobe software.

Table tents designed to introduce visitors to the space and tools. For students who are new to Adobe products, it can sometimes be overwhelming to get started - this is why we decided to associate each zone with an Adobe tool and help students become familiar with Adobe software.

ASU Creativity Commons peg board featuring student-made work with Adobe software.

To celebrate student work made with Adobe, we pitched the idea of installing a peg board, where student work can be displayed and exchanged. Additionally, shelves holding various art and design books allow students to further engage with the learning space.
